100 percent cotton shirts look and feel great, but do need a little extra care when ironing. Here are some tips:

Washing:

  • Wash shirts at 40 degrees
  • Turn them inside out in the washer
  • Hang shirts up with the top button done up when just out of the washing machine. This ensures the collar keeps its shape.

Ironing:

  • Cotton shirts should be ironed when damp - spray them down if they have already dried
  • Invest in a good steam iron
  • Avoid use of starch – this can discolour the fabric
  • Iron collars first

Packing:

Here are some tips for when you have to take your pilot shirts on the road:

  • Make sure shirts are correctly folded when put into a suitcase
  • Separate shirts from other garments and shoes to stop them getting stained
